As an owner of the 2025 NIO ET5, I wanted to share my honest experience — it has its highs and a few areas that could improve, and maybe it'll help anyone considering this car. First off, the exterior is absolutely stunning. The fastback design is sleek and sporty, and whenever I park it, people can’t help but stop and stare — even my friends keep looking at it every time they see it!
Performance-wise, it’s impressive. I have the dual-motor, all-wheel-drive version, with a claimed 0–100 km/h in 4 seconds. Honestly, when I step on the pedal, it gives me that instant push back into the seat — especially at traffic lights, it just flies ahead and leaves everyone behind.
The NOMI smart assistant is super fun, especially for the kids. They love interacting with it like it’s a buddy, and I personally use it a lot to turn on seat ventilation and massage — it’s really convenient. And when it comes to charging, NIO’s battery swap stations are a game changer for me. There’s one near my house, and I can swap a battery in about 3–4 minutes — no need to wait hours for charging. Even on rainy days, I just drive in, swap, and go.
Of course, no car is perfect. The rear seats are a bit tight, especially for taller passengers. And during holidays or in busy shopping areas, there can be a wait for battery swaps — but most days, it’s fine.
Overall, I genuinely like the ET5 more than any other EV I’ve tried. Its design stands out — it doesn’t look like every other electric car on the road. As for the range, I personally tested it from 80% down to 20% and got a real-world 300 km. If you’ve got access to battery swap or charging, range anxiety isn’t really an issue.
In short, if you’re looking for style, tech, and power all in one package, I definitely recommend giving this car a try.
